Wetnose Shop - NorfolkWetnose Animal Aid raises money to give to sick Domestic and wildlife animals in smaller and less well known Rescue Centres and good causes all over the UK and Overseas.

Wetnose is a non-profit organisation Registered Company Number 3124133. For those of you who have never heard of us, we are Gavin and Andrea Gamby-Boulger who have set up the Wetnose Animal Aid in loving memory of our beloved German Shepherd bitch called "Tara"

Andi & GavAndi & Gav with doggiesOur aim is to raise money and awareness for the sick and needy animals in Animal Rescue Centres and good causes worldwide and the UK. After many busy years we have been very encouraged by our fund raising events and have also raised money from our shop in Beccles, Suffolk.

In our experience, we know only too well how these Centres are really struggling, due to lack of funds and volunteers. Many still having to cope with the costs of never ending vet's bills, and medical supplies; and that's without special diets, fuel, repairs, insurances and all the other costs. Wetnose will vet some of these Rescue Centres and providing the correct criteria is met, we will help pay off these vets bills, or buy equipment such as incubators or cat traps and additionally offering help and advice when it's needed.

Not all animals in Rescue Centres are strays picked up from the streets..... Oh no many are dumped or unwanted because they are pregnant, sick, have bad teeth, or need operations. We cannot just sit back and let this happen, because without them, a lot more domestic and wildlife animals would suffer and be in a very sorry state indeed.

We will do all we can to help these Rescue Centres to keep on going, but we need your help and support too. We need fund raisers to do marathons, bike rides, boot sales, anything to help raise more money and awareness.

Tammy & ArchieFact:

Did you know? Over 7 billion pounds a year is raised for charity, BUT only o.o5% goes to animals, I think this is so sad and that this figure is far to low and needs to be raised much higher if we are to help wildlife conservation projects and help thousands of strays in places such as Greece and Sri-Lanka as well as the UK.

So come on animal lovers, instead of raising funds for cancer and children, which receive millions from legacies also, please don't forget about the ones you don't see, the ones hiding in fear or pain, the ones slowly dying in the gutter or being eaten in some Philippine restaurant tomorrow, or the little orphaned Orangutans that will need one carer for one baby for 5 years.

Believe me the time to act is now...........Thank You

Joanna Lumley

A message of support from Joanna Lumley

"We're a nation of animal lovers, yet our animal sanctuaries are always full to bursting with abandoned and ill treated animals. I've been Patron of the Farm Animal Sanctuary for 20 years and still find the stories of some of the ill treated and neglected animals who are lucky enough to find their way there so upsetting. It shouldn't be happening.

For all of the animals who find their way to a Sanctuary this is the start of a new life for them, an end to the suffering and just not being wanted anymore, so please, please do all you can to support Wetnose in the wonderful work they are doing to help raise much needed funds to keep all these Sanctuaries going. Your support does count very much, and without the help of Wetnose the struggle to keep funds coming in would be even more difficult. "
