For those who have
never heard of us, we are Gavin and Andrea Gamby-Boulger
who has set up the National Wetnose Animal Campaign
in loving memory of our beloved German Shepherd
bitch called "Tara"
We used to run a Dog Rescue Centre
in Norfolk called "Meadowgreen" from 1989
to the Spring of 2001, nearly 12 years. We took
in strays from the Council and the public and in
return re-homed approx 500 dogs every year. After
doing years of research and visiting other centres;
we know just how hard people in small Rescue Centres
work, and what little support they get from the
public or local businesses.
Our aim is to raise money and awareness
for the sick and needy animals in the smaller Animal
Rescue Centres and good causes all over the country.
After 4 busy years we have been very encouraged
by our fund raising events and have also raised
money from our shop in Beccles, Suffolk.
Wetnose
will also campaign to stop fireworks being used
all year round, due to so many animals being injured
and even killed. In our opinion, fireworks should
only be used at big organized events away from as
many animals as possible. Wetnose will also campaign
to make women aware of HRT treatment that is extracted
from horse urine! [More]
In the past, at our Dog Rescue Centre
in Norfolk, we saw many sad and terrible sights
of dogs being mentally and physically abused. Far
too many too mention. There's a lot more to running
a Rescue Centre than just looking after the animals;
and that's without having to fund raise all year
round as well!
In our experience, we know only too
well how these Centres are really struggling, due
to lack of funds and volunteers. Many still having
to cope with the costs of never ending vet's bills,
and medical supplies; and that's without special
diets, fuel, repairs, insurances and all the other
costs. Wetnose will vet these Rescue Centres and
providing the correct criteria is met, we will help
pay off these vets bills, or buy equipment such
as incubators or cat traps and additionally offering
help and advice when it's needed.

Not all animals in Rescue Centres
are strays picked up from the streets
..oh
no, many are dumped or unwanted because they are
pregnant, sick, have bad teeth, or need operations.
We know just how hard these smaller Centres work,
and there are many that will have to close if no
help is given. We cannot just sit back and let this
happen, because without them, a lot more domestic
and wildlife animals would suffer and be in a very
sorry state indeed. We all know who the BIG Rescue
Centres are, now lets do more to help the smaller
Centres continue with there never ending work.
We will do all we can to help these small Rescue
Centres keep on going, please join me and give these
people and the animals what they deserve.
